Parents: Unknown (biological), Kwanza and Tabita (adopted)

Siblings: Unknown (biological), Rasul (adopted)

Personality: Nella is a quite and obiedient lioness, she will usually follow any order given to her without question. She feels that she needs to repay any debt she owes so will accept any task no matter how cruel. She is shy and rarely talks to any lions she doesn't know so can easily blend into the background in a pride. However, she does have certain lines she will not cross and one of them involves cubs. She always wanted to be a mother but cannot because she is infertile.

History: Nella was a sickly cub and so was abandoned soon after her birth to die on the savannah. Fortunately, she was found, starving and close to death, by Tabita who took her back to the den and despite Kwanza's ire and constant declarations that she should have been left to die, raised her alongside her own son Rasul.

When Nella was still a very young she contracted a strange disease, for weeks it looked like the young cub would pass away but by a small miracle she managaed to cling to life. No one knew that this illness would prevent her from having cubs in later life.

When Nella was old enough to fend for herself, she left her adoptive family to find a mate and start a family of her own. She did well on the savannah but it quickly became apparent that she could not bear cubs. This broke her heart because she always wanted to be a moher and give the same kind of love that Tabita had shown her when she was young.

Reluctantly, she returned to her old home only to find it seemingly abandoned and so was surprised to find Kwnaza on his own. He told her that Tabita and Rasul had abandoned him and that Rasul had tried to kill him, she couldn't quite believe that her adoptive brother and mother would do the things Kwanze claimed but agreed to help him because she felt she owed him for raising her nstead of leaving her to die.

Her job was to infiltrate the pride and lure one of Rasul's cubs away from the pride where Kwanza would 'deal with it', Nella didn't really undertsand what he was going to do so befriended Rasul's youngest cub, Kayode. She did as she was instructed and lured the cub away from the safety of Priderock and only then realised what Kwanza had in store for the cub, she quickly took Kayode to the cave and instructed him to hide and not reveal himself no matter what happened. When Kwanza returned she confronted him and he struck her across the face, leaving deep gashes in her muzzle as a result. While she was lying injured, Rasul arrived for his cub and fought Kwanza, getting badly injured himself but luckily his brother-in-laws arrived to assist him.

Kwanza fled and only then did Kayode leave his hiding spot and tell his father that Nella had saved him, the lions were wary of her but Kayode's pleading to take her to Rafiki softened them and they took her to the mandrill who helped heal her wounds to the best of his ability, unfortunately they scarred so she could never forget what she almost did.

Nella apologized to Rasul, explaining why she had helped Kwanza and that she never knew he planned to kill Kayode. Rasul eventually forgave her and Chaka allowed her to remain in the Pridelands and a pride memeber.
