History: Before Roy was born Nuka wanted to impress Zira by stealing Simba's mate. Vitani didn't believe he could do it, so Nuka set off to find Nala. He found her near the water hole and chased her away from the safety of the pridelands. Nuka then forced Nala to mate with him. He got home triumphant. But when he told Zira she did not look pleased. "And what if Nala becomes pregnant? You are a fool Nuka! Simba will kill us when he finds out! Besides, you have mated with the king's loyal mate! Do you not think that she will tell Simba?" Zira roared. Nuka smiled. "Don't worry mother, I forced her to promise to never tell anyone. If she does she will die." Nuka had said, looking pleased with himself.

But a few days later, when Nuka was hunting, he saw Nala. Nuka didn't want to be attacked by a group of hunters, but Nala was on her own. She ran up to Nuka, crying. Through her tears she explained that she was pregannt with his cubs. Nuka knew that this would lead to war. All they could do was hope that they looked like Nala. But they both looked like Nuka a lot. Thankfully Nala was not in the pridelands when she gave birth. Nala and Nuka thought hard about who should take the cubs. Then Nala knew who. "My brother, Mheetu, and his mate Kula.They have a little cub of their own and don't live in the pridelands. I'm sure that Mheetu would take care of our cubs." So Nala began her long journey to Mheetu and took the cubs with her. Mheetu and Kula said that they were delighted to take care of them, their little Cody would finally have a playmate. It hurt Nala to give away her cubs, but she knew that they would be safe. Nala left Nuka Jr and Roy alone, so that they could live their life without their parents.

Time seemed to fly by. Nuka Jr often got tired of Roy so Roy was often on is own, watching Nuka Jr and Cody play. Roy hated it when Nala visited, but Nuka rarely visited os there was no choice but to put up with it. He hated it if Nuka Jr started crying, it was so pathetic, so Roy often teased Nuka Jr but it was only to stop himself crying. When Nala gave Nuka Jr a present for catching his first prey and Nuka Jr cried, Roy was close to tears, felt so left out and was jealous so argued with Nuka Jr. Roy slashed Nuka Jr on the eye, then argued with Cody, while Kula licked Nuka Jr's bleeding eye. It didn't scar. Roy was pretty impressed when Nuka Jr tried not to cry and impress everyone, but that was soon lost when something terrible happened.

Roy saw Nuka Jr waiting for Nala but she didn't come. Roy only watched Nuka Jr until the third day, then Roy began to worry and waited with Nuka Jr. After a whole week Nala finally came, tears pouring down her cheeks. Nala sobbed while she told them the news, the news that Roy had never thought he would hear. The minute Nala said "Your father has died" Roy switched off. He felt tears pricking his eyes. He couldn't cry but, his father... Roy gave in. He sobbed into Nala's arm and became lifeless. He wouldn't talk. He wouldn't eat. All he did was lie in the cave, silently crying himself to sleep at night. Nuka was all Roy had to live for, but now there was no point.

One day, Nuka Jr came into the cave with some gazelle. "hey Roy, I caught you a gazelle, your favourite" Roy heard Nuka Jr say but he didn't move, although the sweet scent of it was most inviting. "Brother, what is wrong?" Nuka Jr asked. Roy became furious quickly. Could Nuka Jr not take a hint? Roy glared at Nuka Jr and yelled at him. He got into a fight. Roy slashed Nuka Jr twice. Then Nuka Jr looked at him with tears in his eyes. "Don't you think I know that?" He yelled and ran out of the cave crying. Roy looked down at his paw, the one that had blood on it. He felt so guilty, Roy hated seeing his brother in pain or upset, but Roy was dying inside. He wanted to be alone. when Roy tried to make it up with Nuka Jr he walked off, not speaking to him. Roy heard Nuka Jr tell Nala that a hyena had attacked him. Roy sighed and went back to the cave. Roy didn't speak to anyone, afraid that he would hurt his brother again.

Years later, Roy had grown into an adult, and when Nuka Jr left to see Nala he came back delighted. "Father is alive! He survived!" Nuka Jr shouted with glee. Roy stared  at Nuka Jr and was off like a bullet. he asked Nala if it was true. When he was told it was, Roy so badly wanted to see his father. He didn't get to go, but eventually Roy got to see Nuka at long last. Roy was delighted and hugged Nuka, so glad to finally see him. Then Roy had to go back home. But on Nala's next visit, Roy was mad at Nuka. He had gone off with Nala's cub, Fluffy, and she might be expecting his cubs soon. Roy hated his father for leaving his mother. He promised to never have a mate himself. Ever.
