Personality: Sanura is a very caring and loving lioness. She’s always been the one to jump into others arguments or fights and stop them. Sanura usually thinks before she speaks, but she has her days where she says things she didn’t mean to. She is very passionate when it comes to hunting; and she’ll always feed the others before herself, even when her mother pushes her to eat first.

History: Months later, after the Pridelands became one with the Outlands, Kiara found herself pregnant with Kovu’s cub. At first, Simba was distraught, as he couldn’t imagine his little girl already having children. Eventually, he became accepting of the idea once he saw the cubs piercing green eyes. Simba suggested the name Sanura to Kiara and Kovu, and they decided to give her that name for her father’s sake.

Sanura wasn’t a weak cub, but she certainly wasn’t strong either. She was a slow learner, but she grew out of this once she reached adolescence. She was taught by her father how to hunt; and her mother and grandfather taught her about her ancestry and the ‘Circle of Life. Sanura didn’t quite understand much of this information, but for some reason she grew more and more curious about this place that they’d been speaking of called the ‘Elephant Graveyard. Without letting anyone know where she was going, she went to go find this place in hope of learning more about it up close.

When she arrived at the graveyard, she was stopped in her tracks. Multiple hyenas stopped her, looking bloodthirsty and hungry. Afraid, Sanura rushed away as quickly as she could, but she became unlucky quickly. One of the hyenas stepped on her tail and picked her up with his muzzle. He didn’t eat her as she had expected him to do. He dropped her down in front of the entrance of the graveyard, and gave her a warning to not return. Later, Sanura learned the hyena’s name was Banzai. She went home that night and promised her parents she wouldn’t run off again; and she told them the story of what had happened that day, which Simba overreacted to and kept Sanura locked down in the Pridelands for weeks until he could figure out a better way to protect her.

Later on that year, Sanura was a beautiful adult. She was full grown, but slightly smaller than the other lionesses her age. Though she doesn’t mind being shorter, she still wonders why she had to get the short end of the stick in her family. Sanura hunts with her mother most often, and sometimes even wrestles with Kovu to strengthen her fighting skills for her protection once she rules the Pridelands.

Relation to TLK: Daughter of Kovu and Kiara, granddaughter to Simba and Nala, had an encounter with Banzai, lives in the Pridelands, and next in line for the throne.
