Name: Subira (meaning 'patience')

Parents: Mufasa and Sarabi

Siblings: Simba (older brother)

Crush/Mate: Nuka

Personality: Subira is highly intelligent, with more of her mother's personality but still retains a love for adventure and a talent for trouble that both her brother and father had as cubs. As she grows she becomes more reserved and resentful of Scar, especially when she discovers that he is the cause of her father's death.

History: Subira was born soon after Scar took the throne, he tried to kill her and eliminate Mufasa's bloodline from the pride entirely but Sarabi stepped in and reminded him that, as a female, she would have no claim to the throne, a lie on Sarabi's part but it seemed to suit Scar and he left the young cub alone for the most part.

There were very few cubs around the same age as Subira, only Scar's son and future heir Nuka. The two grew up as friends and it gave hope for the lionesses loyal to Mufasa and Sarabi because Nuka seemed nothing like his fatehr and they hoped that when Nuka became king he would take Subira as his mate and the two would be able to restore the Pridelands to its former glory.

However, these plans were destroyed when Zira gave birth to another litter, a healthy pair of twins named Vitani and Kovu. Nuka was no longer Scar's heir and the lionesses fell into despair. Then Simba returned.

Subira was in her early teens when her brother returned to the Pridelands and so she didn't know quite what to make of him, especially after the banishment of the Outsiders after the 'death' of his young son Kopa. However, Subira came to love her brother and stood by him and his next cub, Kiara.
