Swifty is a young cheetah found in one of Hakuna Matata stories called The Race.

Swifty is a cheetah cub who live somewhere near the jungle. Simba, Timon, andPumbaa meet Swifty near the waterhole. Annoyed by cheetah's bragging about being the fastest animal, Simba challenges him to a race.

During the race, Swifty reaches the cave at the finish. when he's waiting for Simba and his friedns to come, a bad storm begins and lightning ignites the grass around the cave, trapping Swifty inside. Fortunately Simba, Timon and Pumbaa are there to save him. Swifty admits that Simba is the bravest and they become good friends afer all.
