Backstory:

Tambua, being an only child, was rather spoiled by her parents as a cub. However, she wasn't always treated well by the other cubs. Because of this, she tried to make herself seem superior to them, and tried to be friends with the popular cubs. Though she believed it did, her plan didn't really work, as instead of making her popular, she just became irritating to everyone else.

When she was an adult, Tambua fell in love with a lion named Jelani, a member of the first Lion Guard, who eventually became her mate. They had a female cub whom they named Kulisha. Tambua expected Kulisha like her (Or what she thought she was): sophisticated, popular, beautiful, and well mannered. But, while Kulisha tried to be beautiful, she wasn't any of the other things, and Tambua was ashamed of who Kulisha was: fat, rude, and unpopular. Kulisha was hurt by this, and, though she loved her mother, often avoided her and spent time with her father instead.
