Personality:

Kind, much like her name meaning, Tamu is always doing her best to make everyone in the Mlima territory happy, always willing protecting her family at whatever cost. Tamu prefers spending time with her family - and doesn't know what she'd do without them. She hates being alone, and while she does not want to admit it, she hates talking about her childhood.

History:
Born in the Mlima Pride, known to few as the Eastern Ridge for its location, Tamu was raised as Mawazo and Jua's heir while her brother was to be second-in-command. The two were the best of friends, but both always somehow landed themselves in trouble. One day, while exploring near the borders of their home territory, a rogue lion attacked and killed several lion cubs in the pride - one which happened to be Duma. Tamu escaped and made her way home with minor scars and bruises. The family mourned for the loss of their cubs, and the future was hopeless, as two pairs of rulers needed to rule the gigantic territory - not one.

Mawazo's mood was changing constantly and Jua was becoming shut in and scared. Tamu was somehow always getting harrased by one lion or another, and her innocent behavior was growing quite tired of being called "guilty for the death of her brother", so at the age of being a teen, Tamu left the Mlima temporarily in search of someone who would gladly accept her as her own self. What she found though was a life filled with struggles. Little food or water stretched over the east path she followed. Her only help was her three friends, a cheetah named Aisha, and two twin sister lionesses named Barafu and Uzima, who provided her places to stay in the midst of the confusion. Also among her comrades was a male lion named Anga, son of Tanglemane, who became fond of her. The two agreed to get married someday. However, the closest bond she had was with the cheetah - and the two continued to stay together as friends even after the events of the journey. Eventually, she ended up growing up far away with her buddies, but soon, tradegy stroke right on the clock.

News was spreading wildly that King Mazwazo had fallen due to an attack on the Mlima kingdom. Worried, Tamu rushed home to check to see if everything was the same as it was before. It was not. The ground was bare and looked just like the Pridelands did during Scar's rule. Something fishy was going on, and to put a stop to it, she returned to the throne to take control over her father's kingdom. She found out that the a group of rogues had temporarily took control of the land in search of a new home, and everyone was thankful that the bright orange lioness had saved their land. Anga sadly had to return home, as he had his father awaiting his return. It was with a heart-felt goodbye that the two parted ways.

Many months later, Anga arrived at the foot-steps of the Mlima territory, asking if he could have a place to stay. Tamu gladly allowed him to live in her home, seeing as without him she never would have became queen. He was later discovered to have been exiled from his father's territory and was never to return, but that didn't stop Tamu from marrying him and eventually having a child with him, a white lioness named Nyeupe. Tamu continued to thrive in her life with her husband and close friends, dying on a cold winter's night, when the stars were noted to be the brightest.

Relation to TLK: Tamu married Tanglemane's son, Anga. Not only that, but she is said to share some of Sarabi's blood, a lioness known to have reigned over the Pridelands, hence why she has ear rims.
