Tarajika was born in the grasslands as the daughter of a rogue pair. They cared for her as much as they could, but when she was a teen, Tarajika was left. She didn’t know why and she had no idea where her parents were.

Tarajika often wondered this over the many years, but was always positive that they would return!

Soon after Tarajika was left, she met Awena and Tulivu, a couple which were alone like her. Tarajika felt pleased to have finally found some lions to talk to, but was slightly disappointed that they weren’t her parents!

Awena and Tulivu were at first bemused as to why a lioness had a mane, but they decided they couldn’t judge someone on their looks. They loved her bouncy nature and bubbly personality so they let her wander with them.

Tarajika loved her new friends as much as they loved her. She learnt that Awena and Tulivu had met only a couple of months ago and that they were slightly older than her. The three of them became very close.

Then, one day, they came across a male lion wandering alone. Tarajika watched the stranger very closely and noticed the tiny things about him, such as the tiny criss cross of scars on his cheek, the small notch out of his ear and, of course, his dazzling smile.

“Hi!” she said. “I’m Tarajika!”

“Pleased to meet you Tarajika!” said the stranger. “My name is Baka.”

Baka and Tarajika got on really well together and soon, the two couples were off again, wandering the grasslands.

A few years later, both couples had cubs and settled down in a small cave in the grasslands where they remained happy forever.
