Personality: Zara is calm an rational, surprising given her parentage, she prefers to assess a situation first before she attempts to tackle it. She is soft spoken and good at blending into the background. She also tries to prevent violence as much as she can but isn't above using force if she believes there is no other choice. She is very spiritual, believing that all animals have a destiny given to them by the Great Kings.

History: Born under Scar's rule as the younger twin sister of Nuka and originally named Ushandra. Scar was dismayed by Nuka's apparent weakness and unwilling to have a female heir, Scar 'gifted' the cub to a nearby pride, once she had been weaned, so that she could marry the son of the leader and create allies for the Pridelands.

Zara grew up protected and happy within her foster pride and had a good relationship with the cub she would one day marry. However, dreadful news reached the Pridelands of Scar's defeat at the hands of Simba. The pride was unwilling to let the daughter of an ursurper marry their prince and so Zara fled into the savannah, changing her name so no one would ever know that she was the daughter of Scar.

Zara lived by the skin of her teeth, teaching herself to hunt small prey and observing other animals so she could better understand how to survive.

When she was a young adult, she ran into Sizwe who was looking for powerful lions to join his cause in overthrowing what he described as a 'tyranical lion' who had exiled him as a cub. Zara joined with him only because she thought that a group provided a better chance at survival than being solitary. It quickly became apparent to her that Sizwe only wanted revenge and that it was clouding his judgement.

Finally, when Sizwe felt ready to take on this lion, Zara attempted to stand in his way and tried to force him to see reason. Sizwe didn't heed her words and abandoned her to regain his former pride. Zara raced ahead, trying to reach the pride before Sizwe and warn them of the incoming danger but she arrived when Sizwe was laying seige to his former pride.

When Sizwe was beaten, Zara pleaded for his life in front of Judas, promising him that she would take him far far away from the pride and that they wouldn't be bothered by him anymore.
