Zaru is a lazy lion with a desire of being on his own he dose not want to live under a ruler so he is a mad lion but he can be nice.

History

Zaru was born the day Kovu stepped up as king. When Zaru grew into a cub he loved to be by himslef without any leader. Malka tried to watch Zaru but he always got out of his vision and ran away. When Zaru grew into a teen he was a mean lion. He did not want to train and he did not listen to his parents and Kovu. So Kovu and Kiara agreed to ban him from the Pridelands.

Zaru finally felt free and he soon found a perfect little jungle to live in. He met a lioness at the jungle,Maya. He found out she wanted to be free to they became friends. They slowly fell in love with each other and became mates. They had one cub named Valon. 

Zaru and Maya both decided to go back to the Pridelands they brought Valon (now a teenager) with them. When they came there Kovu and Kiara decied that they could stay. Even though Zaru hated the fact about being ordered around he still wanted to stay becuase the Pride provied food. 

Zaru left the Pridelands leaving without anyone knowing. Zaru ran to the unknown parts of Africa with less food and water he soon died in starvation.
