Personality: Zola is a rather shy and quiet girl, and she's got a little frightened nature. She may sometimes act stronger than she actually is, because she doesn't want others to see that she's rather weak and breakable inside. Zola is friendly and understanding, but she doesn't trust strangers easily. She's pretty dreamy, and some even call her "the lioness who walks with her head in the clouds". Zola likes to be on her own, but she's still pretty social, and attempts to be kind to everyone.

History: Zola was born in the Pride Lands, same time as Kiara, and they were good friends ever since they were little cubs. When Kovu came around, Kiara sorta forgot about Zola, and started spending more time with him instead. This made Zola pretty sad, and she didn't really have other friends her age, until she was a grown up, and started getting more social. When Kiara and Kovu became mates, Zola was still quite bitter because she felt like she wasn't good enough for the males, or that she wasn't beautiful enough, and so on. She still didn't want to lose her friendship with Kiara, so she just kept those thoughts all to herself. Kiara comforted Zola, and told her that she would most definetly found someone for her one day too. Zola knew Kiara meant well, but she still didn't really believe it, because she had never been too popular among males. One day, when Zola was having a walk on her own, she met a male lion named Karimah, who seemed to be pretty much as lonely as she was. She started spending time with him, and the two became really close friends, best friends, to be exact. Karimah was the only one Zola told all her deepest secrets, and he was always there for her, when she needed, and vice versa. Zola was very happy to have a friend like that, but one night, when she was just about to fall asleep, Kovu came up to her, and told her Karimah was dead. She was shocked, and couldn't believe her ears, then she ran out of the cave, to a near tree and collapsed on the ground, bursting into tears. Zola refused to believe her friend was dead, and she spent many nights thinking of him, and what could have happened to him. And finally one day, Zola decided to go look for Karimah, and headed towards the jungle. And there he was. They were both absolutely thrilled to see each other again, and Zola told him she always knew it in her heart that he was alive. But she noticed that something was wrong with Karimah, and so she asked him what it was. Karimah told her he had fallen heads over heels in love with a young lioness named Ela, but she was interested in another male, named Vince. Zola was pretty sad to hear Karimah had a crush on another lioness, because she had developed feelings for him, but she still knew how he felt, and she told him she'd always be there for him, no matter what. In time Zola and Karimah grew closer and closer, and finally, he fell in love with her as well, and they became mates.
