Personality:

Like her name suggests, Zola is very quiet and usually keeps to herself. Being born of the king Mufasa makes her a princess by blood, but she refuses to be any part of the royal family later in life when she discovers this. She is kind and caring, usually looking after her twin brother Mheetu when her mother wasn't around. Even with her being quiet she is very submissive, taking the blame for other's actions and dealing with the consequences. During her adolescent years, Zola was very protective of her brother yet still the quiet and submissive female that she was. It wasn't until adulthood -and motherhood- where Zola broke out of her shell and started being more vocal with pride politics. She is protective of her nieces and nephews but more so of her own children; not letting them out of her sight until they were almost a whole year of age. Her protectiveness would lead her to defending her son with her claws and violence, and in turn would lead only to her death.

Bio: 

Mufasa didn't know what was going through his head at the time but for some reason he and Sarafina were in this predicament. Taka -or Scar to most of the pride- had just gotten into a fight with the female over the legitimacy of Nala. Even though he swore to always be a father to Sarafina's cubs no matter who their actual father was, it seemed that something tore through Scar's emotions and sent him straight to denying everything. Sarafina was in tears as she went to one of her oldest friends to console her, how would she tell Nala that her father had abandoned her? Mufasa had just set out from the den (where Sarabi was looking over Simba and Nala) to talk some sense into his little brother but was stopped by Sarafina on the way. He led her into a den where she confessed everything including the fact that Nala's father was not at all their Taka. Even though he was mated to his soul mate something spurred in Mufasa that night. Under the cover of the stars and the cave they were in, Mufasa and Sarafina mated against everything they stood for. It wouldn't be until later when the severity of what they had just done was shown in full effect.

It was days later when the stampede in the gorge killed Mufasa and left Sarabi without a mate and child. Sarafina wished to tell her best friend what had happened, but it seemed that it wasn't the best time. In a vulnerable state Scar tried to take advantage of both Sarabi and Sarafina and attempted to mate with the both of them. However Sarabi's sister Naanda took the fall for both of them and mated with Scar three times while Rafiki had slipped him some poison that would drug him. When Sarabi and Sarafina both miraculously appeared pregnant along with Naanda, it seemed that Scar had sired all three litters. However it would seem that Sarabi and Sarafina were carrying the last litters of Mufasa; something that shocked them both. Sarabi gave birth to a male and a female, who she named Makame and Zira respectively. Sarafina on the other hand gave birth to a male and a female as well whom she named Mheetu and Zola. The female turned out to be paler than Sarafina, taking after her own mother's traits, but there were hints of Ahadi in the child as well.

Scar took interest in Mheetu, Zira, and the child from Naanda's litter, leaving Makame and Zola with Nala. As Mheetu was trained to be future king, Sarafina held back a dark secret. Nothing much happened before Simba's return to Pride Rock except for the revelation to everyone that Zira and Makame were not Scar's children but in fact Mufasa's. Zira had already been manipulated however Scar wasn't going to take chances with Mheetu. He approached Sarafina and asked if the cubs were hers to which she finally denied. Mheetu now joined his sisters without a fatherly figure or a care in the world. Upon Simba's return, Zola was presented to her new brother-in-law who accepted her into the family. Little did either of them know that they were actually siblings by blood, not just by marriage. As Mheetu and Zola grew into adulthood a rogue appeared on the borders of the Pridelands and found Zola all alone. The female didn't know what to do and gave into the rogue's wishes of mating with her. This interaction would result in Zola falling pregnant with her own cubs.

Sarafina was furious at first, but she understood why her daughter had done what she did. Zola gave birth to a male and a female just like her mother did. She named the male Chane and the female Kamaria. She raised her children protectively and soon after they were on the cusp of becoming teenagers the rogue was back again. Zola sought out the rogue and asked him for one more litter to which the rogue obliged. In this litter was two males and yet another female, leaving Zola with now five children. She named the males Rashid and Hasani and the female Zanta. After this litter however a sickness struck Sarafina and after the battle between the Pridelanders and Outsiders she revealed with her dying breaths that Mheetu and Zola were fathered by Mufasa. Sarabi had known before her own death around Kiara's birth and wasn't mad at her friend. She only wished that Mufasa could have seen how good his children were. Simba was astonished to find he had two new siblings and Nala was as well. 

Much time passed when the rogue came back one last time. However instead of giving Zola another litter he demanded the first born son to come with him. Chane, now an adult, refused and stood by his mother's decision. The rogue attacked Zola and his son and in the end both parents had perished. It was only after the rogue's death when Zola had fallen and given her last wishes to her son. Chane hurried home and delivered the grave news while Zola finally met the father she had been waiting for all her life. And she couldn't have been happier.
