personatily : upendi is just like her dad she loves to eat and like her father loves her mother dearly and is always at her side and is quite the tomboy and takes no shame in acting like a boy.

bio : upendi was born the youngest of a litter of two her sister tosca being the oldest to uzuri and mgumu the two were loved dearly by both uzuri and mgumu and mgumu sopiled his two daughters often.

when upendi and tosca were seven months old uzuri relized there where no other cubs their age to play with but them sleves so one night while upendi and tosca were asleep uzuri suggested to mgumu that they returned to the pridelands so he could get to know nikita his niece and finally with some reluctance mgumu agreed.

when uzuri and mgumu felt sure their daughters could make the trip they set off and a few days later they arrived in the pridelands nikita recgnized uzuri stright away and accepted mgumu and the cubs stright away but jabari wasn't as accepting and acted rather hostile torwards mgumu at first but he did warm up to him after he saw that he really loved uzuri.

as upendi and tosca settled in they became fast friends with princess mia and prince chaka but for reasons no one understood mia and upendi just didn't get along that well which only got worse when it was noticed that chaka had taken a romantic intrest in upendi.

when the four cubs became teenagers chaka and upendi became romantically involed , something that didn't sit well with mia , she repteadly tries to break them up even going as far as to say upendi didn't love him and was only using him to become queen but chaka refused to belive her
