I'm actually looking really forward to this! At first I was sceptical, but there's loads of classic Lion King stuff in just this small clip alone; they speak Swahili, they haven't disregarded the sequel and I know it's not going to look exactly the same but the animation is very similar to the original!
It's a shame a lot of the old cast won't be reprising their roles; I'm surprised too! For one of the most popular films of all time, I thought they'd be leaping at the chance But you can't have everything; Kion sounds very much like Simba as a cub, so I have faith they'll pick good sound-alikes for the other characters
Tbh I would rather have good stories with nice animation and not-very-good voice acting than the other way around

Hopefully there won't be any "THE-POWER-OF-FRIENDSHIP-COMPELS-YOU" morals in TLG. I think there'd be a huge disappointment among the fan base.

There are tons of shows where characters get some sort of markings on their body (Naruto, Avatar, Xiaolin Showdown and so on...). I'm tired hearing about "cutie mark copying" after some MLP site fuled this hate by their news -_-

Though, it is true that Kion sort of has the My Little Pony "Cutie Mark" symbol. I reeeeally hope that they don't use the same kind of explanation for the symbol. I would be very disappointed in Disney.

I have to admit I do like how stylized they're making TLG and it's exciting to see modern flash animation implemented into an older franchise. It's almost like a breath of fresh air :D

Kion has a 'cutie mark', big whoop. The show, presumably, is supposed to be targeted for both boys and girls, the fanbase around it is just making a big deal out of a mark that only appears when Kion is being all heroic.

The animation looks good so far, not as detailed as the original TLK was (since they had actual lions in the studio) but it still looks good. I'm curious about how they're going to be portraying Kiara too...

I don't think it's hard to tell... that I am actually hyped as--- CHEESE.

This looks so good, and I really like our new lead. I can't wait to get to know more about his relationship with the rest of the royal family, as well as how he feels about being second-born [aka most likely never to become King].

Can't we just all enjoy the show? It looks nice, it has good animation, it brings something fresh to Lion King franchise and it's a chance to revive it and intrest new fans. I'm already very excited for that show.

It's ridiculous at the amount of people on facebook who whine about this, the purist who claim "Only TLK haters will like dis!" and now even the bronies are whining about this because his mark must obviously be a cutiemark and there for Disney is ripping off Hasbro hurr durr durr. In all seriousness I'm really excited for this
