Good news for all you Simba's Pride fans!
According to Entertaiment Weekly, the original voice actors from Simba's Pride, Jason Marsden, Andy Dick, and Lacey Chabert will reprise their roles as Kovu, Vitani and Nuka in the upcoming Lion Guard TV series.
The other known new cast will be Blair Underwood as Mapu/Makuu, the antagonistic crocodile; Ana Gasteyer as Reirei, a jackal; and Maia Mitchell as Jasiri, a friendly hyena.
Also the series’ official premiere date is January 15 at 9.30 AM on Disney Junior. Season one is said to have 24 episodes and each episode will feature a song.

wooo song good to see the 3 are back, i hope they interact more with kion and not kiara, i mean kiara seems older so i thought the show took place after the frist meeting of kovu and kiara. i love the fact we get a friendly hyena, god knows we need one. i was just working on a character like that but ill leave it till we see jasiri, i hope they use her right. hyenas are better hunters then lions (less failed hunts) not how the frist movie shows them (so lion gaurd did show that in the mini movie,) i am also wanting her to be the leader of a pack just so they can teach kids hyena are lead by females not males |
