I have joked about a live-action Lion King in the past, but now that laughter has turned into shock because this is becoming a reality. The Lion King is not only considered a Disney masterpiece, but also one of the greatest animated films of all time. But when you do a complete remake of a legendary piece of cinema (just like with the upcoming Beauty and the Beast remake), you have impossible standards to live up to when compared to the original.

In my eyes, remaking The Lion King into a live-action/CGI movie feels like the equivalent of remaking James Cameron's Titanic into an animated feature. ...oh wait...

Jungle Book re-imaging bored me to tears.
It was just a show off of CGI personally leaving me very unimpressed, and the child actor was poor in my opinion to say the least.

I really wish they wouldn't do this to another beloved classic, but eh...

Hmm...not really sure how I feel about this. I have not enjoyed the recent live-action remakes much, they are not as good as their animated counterparts. Perhaps this movie will be better.

Nah, remaking classics is their new trend now.

Can't Disney ever think of anything new instead of remaking classics?

I just saw The Jungle Book this Monday and it was really good, so I'm really hoping this will be just as good! Actually pretty excited for this.
