Oh I have absolutely no doubt you guys love her implicitly, as with
all your dogs. And Aussies (mini or standard) have a way of just
endearing themselves supremely.  |

I tried electric collar training once...for a very short time. And,
when I was in a class, and was using it with my male, the sad look he
gave me made me feel like I had betrayed his trust. I stopped using
it immediately. The jerk who ran the school (a former cop) absolutely
refused to refund my money, even though I wasn't in it that long. But
I never ever used one again. And never had to. I felt horrible when
I used it on my dog. Even though I know there are certain dogs, and
especially certain BREEDS, for which an electric collar is often
necessary, when still used humanely. |

She may get better as she gets older. But she'll need formal
training. My dogs are pretty good. My girl, even if she goes tearing
off after a rabbit or a deer or something, will come immediately when
I give her a recall command. Which can save her life in many cases.
And, like my late male, sticks to my side like glue. |

Well it's all about knowing what you're in for when you get
Aussies...and what responsibilities you have. If you do, then it's
pretty easy. I always kept mine (and still keep my female) pretty
entertained and engaged. Though she has plenty of down time too. |
