History:
Kat was born along with her two sisters to her mother and father. She had an older brother who adored her and her sister. The pride she was born into had poor living conditions, unsuitable for most cubs and adults alike. The king, Kopa, had been recently appointed anew and was still learning the ropes, causing the pride to break down partially. He attempted to encourage the pride members to clean up more, as they had become rather messy due to lack of structure from him. Kat's father wasn't satisfied.

Her father made the choice to cast his family out of the pride until the conditions improved, much to Kopa's dismay. Kopa allowed them to leave on a promise that they'd one day return before his death. However, after leaving, Kat's fater had formed a different idea. Instead of waiting for improvements, he set fire to Kat's mother, brother, and sisters after an argument he had with her mother weeks prior. 

Kat fled from her father after that and came upon a group of friendly lions, with one of the lions being Lyon. They bonded with each other, and once reaching adulthood, were wedded privately to each other by Lyon's mother and his sister as support. They held off having cubs, Kat in fear of not being able to properly care for one. Lyon's mother assured her that if there were to be any struggle, she would step in.

At last, Kat bore a tiny ball of fluff. Raja, so they named him, was sickly after birth unfortunately. Lyon's sister recommended that they return to Kat's birth pride, in hopes that the previous living conditions improved. Kat vaguely remembered the promise that was made between Kopa and her father and instantly agreed to the idea.

When they arrived at the lands, they were greeted with a beautiful land full of greenery and flourishing with life. The king, Kopa, who had aged during her absence, was overjoyed to see Kat alive and well. Even though she didn't remember him, being very young at the time of his initial rule, she was happy to see him as well. He had much concern for little Raja, and had him spoiled rotten as he recovered. 

Lyon was eventually assigned as the new king, as Kopa gave him the spot since he was getting much too old to lead on.
