History:
Lyon was born to his unnamed mother and his deceased father alongside his sister. His father had died tragically before his and his sister's birth during a hunting accident, leaving his mother to fend for herself. Months later, Lyon's mother found herself taking care of himself and his sister. Thankfully, according to her, he and his sister were not too hard to take care of and were very obedient.

As a teenager, Lyon and his sister became the sole caretakers of their mother, who was now much older. He and his sister took turns hunting for food. However, on one of the hunts, Lyon discovered something peculiar. He met a young lioness, who had not yet given a name, who was very hungry and alone. From the kindness of his heart, he took her to his family and gave her lot's of food. Although still weak, the lioness, respectively named Kat, opted to care for Lyon's mother. This made for a great opportunity for Lyon and his sister, they both could hunt together without worrying about their mother too terribly.

Months after her appearance, a now adult Lyon courted Kat in a small, private ceremony. Lyon and his family were very close, and he expressed how much it would mean to him if they too had a family of their own. However, due to her trauma, Kat was uncomfortable with having cubs at the time. Thankfully, she took his words into consideration. Soon after that, their first son, Raja, was born.

Raja, however, was born prematurely and was sick. Lyon had remembered Kat telling him of her birth pride, the Black Moor, Regiment, and suggested they take Raja there for help. Kat was a little uneasy, but agreed to the idea. The small family, including his mother and sister, made the journey to the Regiment in less than two days. 

The king of the Regiment, Kopa, was ecstatic to see Kat was safe and sound. He was, of course, worried for Raja's well-being. He and many of the lions of the Regiment began to help Kat and Lyon nurse the cub back to health. During which time, Lyon aquainted himself with Kat's only living sister, Leona, and Kopa's adoptive daughter, Almasi. Almasi admired his determination to make Kat happy, as did Leona. Soon after Raja recovered, Kopa stepped down and gave the throne to Lyon, as Almasi gave a friendly suggestion to the old king to do so.

After becoming king, the Regiment became much more stronger than they were when Kopa was in charge. Kopa was extremely proud of Lyon's efforts, and became even more respectful of him when he took in an orphaned newborn cub named Bibi. To say Lyon was an admired and respectful king would be an understatement.
