Alright, he it goes.� In a real-life lion pride, it is usually one male but may have more depending on many females.� We all know that.� Most of the time there will be one or two dominant males in the pride and any males in the pride can mate with the females but it is the strongest male who has priority over any females he sees fit to mate with.

Here is where my point comes in.� Lions are mammals that can have anywhere from 1-6 cubs in a litter, but will usually have 3-4.� They do not split in the womb as most human twins or triplets do.� It can happen but it is hard to tell upon birth as many look similar.� This means that technically, a lioness can have one litter made up of half-siblings.� If a lioness has five cubs to a litter, one may have one father, two may have another, and still two more have a third different father.� Lions don't descriminate with mating because it's just an animal instinct, it does not depend on who they have 'feelings' for.

So thinking this way, isn't it possible that Vitani is scar's daughter, having acquired blue eyes from one of Zira's parents through a gene that skipped that generation, but at the same time Kovu has a different father?� It would be hard for the characters to tell who was whose father in this situation, but in all realistic honesty, it could happen so do you all think that it is a good theory?

Nice theory, great article. One thing at TLK movies I like is that you can interpret some stuff on your own way and that makes many theories on some stuff. And if you go with realism, your theory makes some nice points. But I am still with theory Mahewa made in her article, I do not believe any of three is Scars. Yes, it is a good theory, and very interesting of you to bring up. However, keep in mind that The Lion King is an animated film by Disney. I doubt that they ever cared to think about these things -- mainly the movie is for children who do not know the information which you have just supplied. Granted, there are the few who believe that "Nala is Scar's daughter", "Nala and Simba are cousins", etc., so you are more than welcome to bring up your own fan-based theories. Also, I believe that we already knew Vitani is Scar's daughter? The only child that Zira ever admitted was not Taka's blood was Kovu. I think that we already knew about Vitani and Scar's relationship. ;] Interesting information, though. (:

Yes, that is a very interesting theory�good one too. I suppose there is a possibility that Vitani's father was Scar. Or even Nuka's. Notice in the second movie how in the beginning Vitani's all for Kovu being king of Pride Rock, but Nuka keeps saying that Scar "Wasn't even his father", and that makes me think that perhaps a large part of his hostility towards Kovu was that Scar was his father and not Kovu's, but Kovu was the one chosen by Scar anyway. Makes us all think...
