No every one you are wrong!Taka did get his scar from a buffalo not his father what kind of father would give his own son a scar duh espessaly a king .

Taka's (scar) father Ahadi paid more attention to mufasa because
mufasa was future king.Ahadi didn't like taka.Taka got jealous of his
brother,so one day scar attacked mufasa.Ahadi stoped taka and hit him
in the left eye,which left a scar on his eye.Taka changed his name to
Scar to remind himself of what he done that day.
