Lion King Review, October 27, 2010

First time I've ever done this, but let's see how it goes. 

In my opinion, Lion King is the best animated movie Disney has ever made. Better that the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beat, Aladdin, Snow White, Lady and the Tramp, Robin Hood, and a whole bunch of others. I love movies with animals, I've always have. But what I like most about Lion King is... well everything! The music is fun and upbeat for younger kids while it has a plot that would also appeal to older audiences, there was a lot of effort put into the 1995 film (they used real life ions to pose in front of them while they drew!) and all reviews from critics for the Lion King have been positive. That has never happened before for a Disney film. It did well with people, and it is still very much loved today. The characters were well thought of, the conflicts were interesting and the backgrounds/scenery were well thought of and beautiful.

At the cinema theatre (Movie theater) near my house, I've discovered that on the walls of theatre 10, Simba (made out of velvet) is glued to the wall and on the other wall facing him is his father Mufasa. I was so surprised! And I can't wait for the Diamond Edition of the Lion King to be released next fall!
