The Lion King reviews

Animation: Great, lovely, lovely lovely. A few mistakes here and there - but for the most part, its good.
Characters; They were great, though I wished they would have shown more of the minor characters, but time limits is understandable. Though typical sterotype looks on them all. (See my artical for more information) And it left alot of gaps in the character's lives!
Music; Great music, really went well for the film.
Plot/story; Now...it didn't do so well - while it does base off of Hamlet, the whole film seems to be unorignal. I'll get to that in a second. But, the film is intresting threw out the whole way, Oringally, Scar was a rouge lion. But the directors wanted the pain to come from inside the family.
Orignality; Not very well. I grew off from TLK, and I truely believe Disney wrongfully copyied off of Kimba The White Lion.
In overall; 6/10 Copying off of Kimba knocked down some big points in this film.

In my opinion the lion king 2 was not really well researched on as it
was done in the first lion king which was a classic. First the Swahili
word for love is upendo not upendi and Kilimanjaro is in tanganyika.
Maybe that should have been corrected a little. Overall it was a nice
movie. But the first one will always be the greatest. |

Well i thought the Lion King had a VERY original feel to it, and it
had a great story behind it. My opinion. FACT: Scar and Mufasa are
REAL brothers, Scar wasn't a rogue. I know he looks VERY different,
but Ahadi, his father, somewhat resembled him and his mother, Uru, was
his same color. Ahadi and Uru are real Disney characters, look it up! |
