I have actually been a member here since late 2006, but left once and had to rejoin (thus the "member since date shown below).   There have been good times here, and there have been bad times.   This community does that...and has a way of running roughshod over good people.   I came here to share my knowledge of the true story behind the Balto movie, and to participate and contribute in a more general way.   Sometimes that was permitted without hindrance, and I made friends as a result (some of whom are still friends).   But there have been bad times too...when trolling, flame wars and bullying (even by some staff members - mostly former ones) have made it very difficult for me to enjoy this place and keep up with my friends here.   Which is a terrible shame.
