The Over the Hedge movie is based on the syndicated comic strip of the same name written and illustrated by Michael Fry and T. Lewis. Ongoing since it's debut in 1995, it follows the adventures of RJ the racoon, Verne the turtle, and Hammy the squirrel who must fight off the invading suburbs to save their woodland home while also getting distracted to human lifestyle and causing mayhem.
