Premier solo de Eugène, Everything I Ever Thought I Knew exprime à quel point Eugène se sent perdu après avoir créé une identité auprès de Raiponce et avoir abandonné son passé de voleur mais découvrant des origines qu'il ne soupçonnait pas. C'est la dernière chanson de la saison 2, apparaissant dans le double épisode final Destinies Collide.

On ne change pas une équipe efficace : Alan Menken reste ici à la composition et Glenn Slater à la rédaction des paroles. La chanson est interprétée pour sa part par Zachary Levi.
