Personality: He radiates reliability and consistency. Others trust him and feel secure with his judgment. He has strength and respectability. He is a good provider and protector. His consistency and adherence to his well-laid plans usually pays off in a comfortable and secure future. Also, he is gentle and shy.

History: He hatched on a poultry farm in England. When he was about seven months old he was exported to Brazil, where he ended up on another poultry farm in Rio de Janeiro. A few weeks later, late one night, a worker grabbed him by the neck and took him to the slaughter room. Alastaire watched as another worker snapped another chicken's neck, and yet another worker threw a chicken into an electrocution bath. Alastaire started flapping his wings and clawing at the person, who dropped him. Alastaire, now free, escaped from the building and didn't stop 'till he was in the jungle outside the city. He rested for a few days. Soon, he was attacked by a hungry jaguar. While Alastaire was trying to run off, the jaguar got ahold of his left wing, and Alastaire tried to free himself as he clawed at the jaguar. He soon got free, but ended up having his wing torn off in the process. Despite the pain, he ran off and hid until the jaguar went away. It hung around, waiting for Alastaire to die, but left after about a week. When the coast was clear, he quickly ran back into Rio. Over the next couple years, he adjusted to life in the city, and the wound where his left wing used to be had healed up nicely. More than a year and a half later, when he was 4 1/2, he bumped into a Brabanter chicken while he was walking. After Alastaire apologized, he continued on his way. As he did, the Brabanter watched him; she thought he was handsome, and had a crush on him instantly. A few days later, they met again, and introduced themselves. The Brabanter's name was Liesl, and she was from Germany, as Alastaire found out during the brief conversation. That night, Liesl thought of him, and got nary a wink of sleep. She was attracted to this Alastaire, despite him having only one wing.

     They met and talked several more times over the next six months, and grew closer and closer, and Liesl was more and more attracted to him every time. Later, when Carnival was in town, Liesl was in an alley looking for food when a stray dog also looking for a bite entered the alley and attacked. It cornered Liesl against a wall, and she screamed for help. Alastaire, a couple blocks away, heard her screams and rushed to her rescue. He entered the alley, got the dog's attention, and jumped and clawed and pecked at it until it ran away. Alastaire then ran to Liesl, who was still frightened from the attack. He calmed her down and asked her if she was okay; she was. They embraced and stared into each other's eyes, then kissed. As they did so, the sound of a radio reached the alley from a building across the street. The song? Taio Cruz's "Telling the World". Alastaire heard it, then shyly started to ask Liesl something, but was briefly distracted by her beautiful eyes. She was almost giddy with excitement. Continuing, Alastaire asked if she would do him the honor of being his, and she said yes, without a moment of hesitation.

     The two love each other more than anything, but Liesl loves him more. They are practically inseparable, and it's obvious to all that they love each other, even Liesl's sister Käthe, who is happy for her. Liesl tells Alastaire every day that she loves him, and just smiles and tears up slightly.
