Personality: He is warm-hearted and empathetic, as well as suave and charming. He is adventuresome. He is serious when he needs to be, and is also tactful. He is loyal, open-hearted, and quick-witted. Is fond of and totally devoted to Taís. He is selfless and understanding. He can sometimes be overbearing, but tries not to.

History: He hatched in an area of deforestation miles from Rio de Janeiro. He, his siblings, and parents were used the sound of chainsaws, so a few months later when Zezé and his siblings had gotten their feathers, they didn't notice their tree was being cut down - with them in the hollow. They realized a little late when they realized the tree was falling. Zezé, his sister Eva, and their parents made it out in time. Their other sibling wasn't so lucky; they tried to make it out of the hollow before the tree hit the ground, but were crushed just as they made it out. The family soon got over their loss and moved on with their lives, Zezé and Eva setting out to find their own ways in life.

Zezé settled down just outside Rio. When he was 3, he met another Keel-billed toucan named Dores, but their relationship didn't last long. Dores was beautiful, but Zezé wasn't all that into her. In the following few months, he was in a few more relationships, but none worked out because either they weren't his type or he had no feelings for them.

Soon after his last relationship, he saw a Spix's macaw perched on a branch. She looked a little down, so Zezé flew over and landed on a branch next to the Spix's, and asked what was wrong. The Spix's told him about a painful night from weeks earlier. "Sorry to hear.", said Zezé after the macaw had finished. They introduced themselves, and Zezé flew off a few minutes later. That night, he barely got any sleep, as he couldn't stop thinking of the beautiful macaw from earlier that day.

They met again the next day and talked some more. As the macaw talked, Zezé was transfixed by how beautiful she was. He didn't care that she wasn't the same species, he was in love. A few days later, the two went out for a fly, and Zezé saw how graceful she was in flight; this added to his feelings for her. As weeks then a few months went by, his feelings for the macaw grew stronger, and the two birds grew closer and closer in their friendship.

Another few months later while watching a Carnaval parade, the two birds danced together. At one point, Zezé stopped to watch the macaw dancing, and was again transfixed by how beautiful she was. After the music and parade were over, he and the macaw were talking about how much fun they had and how lovely the performers were, when Zezé suddenly confessed his feelings for the macaw. He stopped talking to her for fear of being rejected, but was caught off guard when the macaw confessed her feelings for him. Relieved, Zezé asked her if she would do him the honor of being his mate, and she said yes.

They have been together for a year now, and their love shows no signs of fading; they love each other more than anything.
