Rio 2 is a 3D computer-animated musical, released in 2014, directed by Carlos Saldanha and produced by Blue Sky Studios. 

Blue mascaws Blu, Jewel, and their three children, Carla, Bia and Tiago are living comfortably in city life. Maybe a little too comfortably. Jewel sees that her children are becoming more and more like humans everyday, so when she hears that there was another blue mascaw sighted in the Amazon jungle, Jewel insists that their family goes there. Reluctant, Blu goes along with Jewel's plans.

But Jewel isn't the only one that heard of the blue mascaw sighting in the Amazon jungle: so has Big Boss, the leader of a line of illegal logging, who orders his henchmen to hunt the blue mascaws down. Also, Blu and Jewel's old enemy, Nigel, is back, who seems to have survived the plane crash, and now wants to seek revenge on Blu and Jewel.
