Relative to Spirit: Both grew up together, but after Rain came back with Spirit Castiel
tried stealing Rain.

Personality: Castiel can be a bit hard to get along with at times. Known to be gripey and bitter, His attitude isn't always the nicest. He's prone to anger, but can be very romantic when given the chance. It takes certain people to get him blushing, but it's possible. He's misunderstood with his hard outer shell, but can be caring on the inside. He doesn't like it when someone could be hurt or in trouble. Although he has a great build that reminds him of a boxer or weight lifter. Currently he's splitting a band with Lysander, Rosen and Tybalt.

History: Castiel was born into the Cimarron herd, around the same time as Spirit. He never knew his real father, and at a year old both Castiel and His mother was captured by the Calvary. Spirit and Castiel were great best friends. They both did everything together, mostly annoyed one another. When he was captured and was placed under training, Castiel went bitter. Throwing off riders and injuring them. He never had the greatest life at the Calvary, but Desty tried to help him a little. Three years later Castiel escaped the calvary alone, and returned to the Cimarron herd. A little mare had caught his eye though. This then caused a rebellion between both Spirit and Castiel. Finally one day Castiel got tired of Spirit and wanted to leave the Herd with Rain, but Spirit caught him in the act. Spirit and Castiel fought against each other, and even though Castiel won he left the herd without Rain. He found out if Rain truly loved him she would've left Spirit a long time ago. Now he's running a band with a few stallions. Lysander, Rosen, and Tybalt.

But then it happened. Castiel had wandered away from the others to be alone, having a bad day. His day just got worse. The calvary spotted the dark stallion and immediately went after him. Castiel hadn't been aware of them, for they were downwind, and he was slow to start fleeing. He ran only a short ways before being cut off and roped. He fought them for quite a while, but he wasn't able to stand up to them and was drug away. He hated the calvary base as soon as he laid eyes on it. What was in it was even worse. Several tamed horses were there, being ridden and handled. He resented them almost immediately. He didn't tolerate his mane being cut or the brand. He just objected and kicked as much as he could. Eventually though he was branded and his mane was cut. Then came the breaking. Castiel was already tired from his travels and fighting Murphy, but he was no match for all of the men. He was broken, as the humans had thought. But, his spirit still remained intact. It wasn't long after he was broken that he first saw her.
