Personality: Dempire is a very mean stallion, he attacks any stallion who comes his way.He has attacked both Spirit and the stallions of the lakota tribe. He is however a gentleman around the ladies and he does have a week spot for foals. He can also be a great friend to have, but tick him off and you better run for your life.

History:

Dempire was born in the cimarron. Esperanza had be forcefully bred by a stallion named, Cold Heart. His mother had orginally named him Demon, but he later changed his name to Dempire, because he wanted power. Dempire was the only colt in the herd of the Cimarron, Spirit was still trying to get home at the time. Dempire grew into a totally power hungry yearing and took over the cimarron herd, and in the time he had the herd under his hoof, the mares were very healthy and well protected, but Dempire was too young to breed.

Spirit came back when Dempire was two and he had bred all mares but his mother. Spirit once he found this out was furious and attacked Dempire for ruining the herd, when the herd in truth was doing better than with Spirit leading it. Something in Dempire snapped and he beat Spirit up to a pulp and took Rain and bred her away from the herd, then he swiftly banished Spirit from the herd and took Rain as his lead mare.

Rain didn't like Dempire, sure, she was well taken care of, and the herd was compeletly safe, Dempire was NOT the stallion she loved, and when she had the foal, she snuck away from the herd at night and found Spirit, and told him to attack again and take the herd back over. The next day Spirit suprised Dempire and attacked him, overthrowing Dempire and banishing him. So with a heavy heart Dempire said goodbye to his mother and limped off.

He limped on and on, until the Lakota's found him and rode out to capture him, Dempire didn't like this and tried to fight, but was too injured. He went with the begrudingly, there he met Little Creek. Dempire was put in the round pen and left there to calm down some, then Little Creek walked in with healing herbs. Dempire layed his ears back and tossed his head, but let Little Creek put the herbs on him and slept the rest of the day and night.

A week passed and Dempire was feeling much better and was often looking for a way to escape the Lakota village. But he was tied to a annyoingly beautiful mare in the village. But by the time Dempire was falling for her, she was shot in a Calvary attack, and Dempire was offered as a peace offering. Thus Dempire was dragged to the Calvary and conducted.

Once he was to be branded, he manged to knock Murphy out and then was taken to the corral, and was forcefully tacked up. Then a rider mounted him and all heck broke loose, he bucked off all the riders and then was was mounted by the Colonel. Dempire by the time was worn out and tired, and couldn't put up much of a fight, and was apparently broken and taken to the stables.

Dempire was there for more than a year, he was broken a loyal mount for the Colonel, but his heart wasn't in it. He often acted up on rides out of the fort, and tried to unseat the Colonel. But the Colonel always kept his seat and forced Dempire on. Dempire was depressed and then, his salvation and rival came. The Colonel was riding Dempire a little to close to Spirit's herd and the buckskin was furious seeing him and attacked.

The fight was long and bloody and resulted in both the Colonel and Dempire getting injured once again. The Colonel seeing the horse was pretty much good as dead, and took the tack off of Dempire and then the Colonel was taken back to the Calvary fort. Dempire layed there and waited for Spirit to come finish him off, but instead of Spirit, is was his mother who came and helped him back to the herd.

Spirit wasn't happy about it in the least, and Rain wasn't either, but they allowed him to stay till he was healed.Which took months. Once Dempire was healed the truth was revealed to both Spirit and Dempire. Spirit was ashamed of his actions and apologized and welcomed his little brother to stay in the herd, but Dempire delcined, and left the next day finding a peice of land to start his own herd.
