Personality: Jolt is a very sweet and kind gelding, but he does tend to have a sarcastic side.

History:

Jolt was born a very small ranch in Nevada, about a mile away from his future home. His owners took great care of him as a foal and he was very easily gentled. He was gelded before he turned two due to his increasing aggression, which later died down.

He was trained to be a barrel racer, and he did very well with it although he wasn't famous or very well-known. His owner was a elderly man who had raised Paint horses all of his life. he had given Jolt to a blond haired blue eyed girl, who was Jolt's rider and master.

The girl loved him and gave him much affection until she turned nineteen and Jolt turned ten. She moved off to college and left Jolt with the old man, who was her grandfather. But the old man's condition began to deteriorate and he was always alone so nobody knew of his condition.

The old man eventually died in the house and was discovered until nearly a month later. Jolt, by now, was almost dead. He had had only a couple of acres of grass to eat on and had eaten it up within two weeks. He drank stagnated water from the two water troughs in his small pasture, which kept him alive.

People discovered the old man's death and the emaciated gelding in the back pasture. Nite Owl Stables adopted the gelding and nursed him back to health.

Jolt became a dude ranch horse, a Helping Hands, Healing Hearts horse, and a competition horse a year later, fully recovered from the traumatizing event. Then Sue came along. he immediately became attached to her, probably because she looked almost exactly like the girl he had grown up with.
