Spirit: Julog is Spirit's brother, the two got on well as foals but developed a loathing for each other as they grew up. When Spirit left, Julog was convinced that he would become leader of the herd, he tried asking Esperanza but she was too sad. Julog was fuming that Spirit came back with a mare named Rain.

Esperanza: Is Julog's mother. Esperanza was always upset with Julog when he was a colt because he caused so much trouble. When he reached the age of a young stallion, Julog confronted Esperanza about her favouring of Spirit, she just told him that he was a handful and he was hard to look after. Eesperanza has always liked Spirit more that Julog.

Rain: Julog doesn't really like Rain. He finds her too charming and ever since she came back with Spirit. Julog found her annoying and irritating.

June Loque was Julog's birthname when he was born. But June Loque was longer and more of a mouthful so Julog's name changed to Julog. He was Spirit's older brother, and liked to be a control freak and tell others what to do. Spirit was born a year later and was the main spotlight of the herd. He grew up well and fast, Julog didn't like this at all. Julog started acting all bossy and immature because he wanted attention. But little Spirit was still a little superstar. One day, Julog confronted his brother and dared him to lick an icicle, he told him that it was good luck. So Spirit licked an icicle.

Spirit's tounge got stuck immediatly and he stood there trying to break free, Julog laughed and called Eesperanza over to tell her that Spirit was being stupid and licking icicles. But Esperanza knew better and told Julog off for lying, she bathed Spirit with love and attention and left Julog. Julog kept trying to attract attention but failed and soon left it.

Julog reached stallion age and grew up to be a more unimportant member of the herd. He lived in the darkest shadows of the herd and ignored everything. Spirit and Esperazna didn't take much interest in him and focused on the other herd members. But what Julog really didn't like was how Spirit was younger than him but became herd leader anyway. One night, Spirit left the herd and was caught by cowboys when he was a stallion. Julog watched him leave and told the rest of the herd that he would fill in for Spirit. Suprisingly, Julog was a very good leader and tried to bond with the mares of the herd, he confronted Eesperanza and asked her why everyone disliked him so much. She told him that the reason he didn't become herd leader was because he had been immature and attention-seeking when he was younger.

Many months later, Spirit arrived back with his new mate, a paint mare named Rain. The herd greeted him happily. Julog at least stepped forward and said hello, but their loathing of each other continued. But Spirit did keep in mind that Julog was a good replacement when Spirit was away, so he was in thought for a long time.
