The Herd:

Herd: Yulawirri Herd

Rank: Mare

Where they live: They live in a beautiful valley full of cool creeks and beautiful meadows. There are also large caves to shelter in and tree covered areas to play in. The valley is like a slice of heaven and is enchanting to everyone who sees it.

About the herd: The herd is led by the handsome stallion Celtic and is open to just about anyone who wants to join it. Mares are always accepted, but sometimes Celtic is unsure about other stallions, but he eventually comes around. 

History

As a Foal

Matikah was born on a rather small open plain. She was constantly wandering away from the rest of the herd and exploring through the forest. She was very playful, and would make friends with any creature she crossed paths with.

As a Teen

Matikah was a very mature and sensible teen. She loved babysitting and playing with the younger foals. As she got older she decided to find a herd of her own, so she went out on her own. As she travelled she ran into some ranchers who captured her and took her back to a Chinese Stud farm.  

 As an Adult

At the Stud farm Matikah and two other mares, a palomino with for white socks and a white blaze and a black mare with two white socks and a white star, were put in a pasture with a grey arabian stallion named Pharaoh. After a while all of them bred with Pharaoh.

11 months later, the palomino mare gave birth to a lovely white filly. She was colored just like Pharaoh and she was very refined and looked just like an Arabian. The black mare gave birth to a gorgeous coal-coloured filly. She also looked very refined with an Arabian-dished face. Matikah, however, needed help giving birth to her foal. Eventually she managed to push him out. He was even louder in colour than Matikah. The Chinese didn’t like this, and released Matikah and her foal, now named Bandiaozi, into the wild.

Matikah could not find her original herd, so she joined another herd. When Bandi was one year old Matikah had another foal who she called Shiriki. Eventually the time came when the boys both grew up and left the herd. It wasn’t the same without them, so once again Matikah set off to go solo for a while. After about a month by herself she came across the Yulawirri herd. She joined the herd, and still lives there today, occasionally seeing her sons out and about.
