History

As a Foal

Opal was born on an abandoned little farm with no owner. The horse roamed the farm freely, but weren’t able to leave the farm as it had a secure boundary fence.  There were 6 stallions, 13 mares, 9 yearlings and 18 foals on the farm, breeding at free will. Opal had a twin sister called Scarlet, but she was strawberry roan paint, not a grey paint. They looked like two completely separate stallions, so they never knew who their father was.

As a Teen:

When Opal grew into a teen the farm was over-run by horses. Opal was forced to breed with many of the stallions as there was too many for her to fight off. She eventually fell pregnant and 11 months late had a filly who she named Cricket. Shortly after she had Cricket the Calvary raided the farm and took all the horses, including Opal, Scarlet and Cricket. Opal was separated from Cricket and Scarlet and broken in to be a nurse horse. She never saw Scarlet or Cricket again…

As an Adult

 When the war was over the Calvary either sold or released the horses they had. Opal was one of the ones that were released. One of the soldier’s horses paired up with Opal. His name was Fury. Fury and Opal travelled far away until they found a clearing in a forest. They decided to live here and became mates. But shortly after that Fury became cold hearted and mean. Anything that Opal did that he didn’t like her would beat her for it, but nothing ever left a scar. She lived like this for a year, until one day she was out grazing and she met Dagger…
