There was a lot of confusion and complainings about the rule regarding characters tagged on images and drawings. First off this is not a new and made-up rule! It was brought along with rule overhaul in 16th August 2013 and it is visible in the rule page that shows up before sending drawings and images.

We decided to explain this rule in detail so there will be no further confusion.

Every character present on the image must be tagged

"Soon to be characters" are not an exception. It's easier to navigate and recognize characters this way. It was made because way too many people posted images of their original characters that were never really posted on the site.

Exceptions:

- Linearts/blank renders

- Adoptables and design request, HOWEVER their purpose is to be created as fan characters (and pelease state in image description if you make them). Any other random designs and adoptables belong to the forums.

- Official characters that do not have pages. This includes minor characters form the movie and characters from official books, comics and games.

- Minor characters for story purposes. For example if you illustrate a fanfic part like "the other wolf from his pack told him the news", you don't have to create character page for every pack member. It must be stated that the character is minor and won't be used anywhere else.
