Weak connections are fine as long as people /take the time/ to tell in the /history/ ABOUT that connection, it's strange if they don't do that and hte profiles says Relation to spirit: is (name) foal. (name) used to live in spirits herd. ok then i want you proove it, what was it's life like in the cimarron herd while it was there? if you can't tell me that that just hows you just trough that in there to get around the rules which is imature it doesn't take long to explian HOW you character is involved int he spirit world int he history, bootlegged Relations to Spirit just show a lack of Imagination to me when they are not explained in the history. AND it makes me think that you haven't seen the movie and that you are just here purely because you want to post your horse OC......it's not OC Horse OC source folks it's /spirit/ source.

mmm... is it a case of a weak connection or extension characters?
sofiel posted something on connection to spirit, how it could be something like that so that someone could make a character that has nothing to do with spitit and just have them run across the wild west.
but i think that the rules could be changed so that it is easier to create extension characters for storylines. eg, my new character nickle never met spirit or even the herd, he was just a friend of spuro who is spirit's grandson. yes, a weak connection, but not every character on this site can come from the herd or the cavalry or escape from cowboys, ect. in fanfics there isnt just one character, who is likely to be strongly related to an official character, but they also have relations and strong connections with others, connections strong enough to have their own character page.
i think that using your example just to make a character who doesnt have anything to do with the main characters should be against the rules, but if its an extension of your own creations like a friend, sibling or foal, it should be allowed. this would probably be judged by the moderator.
still, thats jsut my opinion.

Spirit's mother has a name. Look under characetrs. Some people say it's Tera, but maybe not.
