MeganHow has Sierra got paint horse markings when Bonita and Raphael both have solid coats?

She gets it from Bonita.
Bonitas dam is a chestnut Overo paint (guessing her father is a grey as grey can't skip).
she passes this to Bonita - but her gray hides it. and that ends up going to sierra.
there is also the chance of Raphael being a Overo but not showing it, as the white patches to small to show in the coat but it is more likley for Bonita to have it then Raphael.

It's possible that either Bonita or Raphael carried the paint or pinto
gene but did not have those coat colours themselves. Much like rabbits
carrying the gene to have bunnies with black fur even though the
mother might be a brown rabbit and the father might be a white rabbit.
It's entirely possible for it to happen. |

I agree with winda. But you have to agree because it's kind of weird.
She doesn't look anything like her parents ![]() |
