Somebody That I Used To Know

The Lone Mare, Blizzard, was quietly grazing one day when she had the feeling she was being watched. Throwing her head up she was startled to see a dappled grey stallion watching her from the treeline. It took her a moment to place them, then she realized who it was; her old friend, Kaito.

'Kaito!' she cried, breaking into a happy trot as she moved over to him. A deep frown creased his brow, and she stopped short, worry etching her face. 'It...it's Blizzard. Don't you remember me, Kaito?'

For a long moment the stallion was silent, his frown immovable. Finally he muttered 'My name's Ice now' and turned back to the bushes.
