Can you believe it?

Even though Disney bought Marvel a few years back, they also stopped publishing any Disney comic in the whole USA for years! (more precisely, since Boom! Studios cancelled their Disney comics)

This always made me quite angry at Disney : buying the biggest comics company and not doing ANYTHING with their own properties...

But now, with the efforts of the team behind the Darkwing Duck comics ("The Duck Knight returns") in 2010, and a whole new publisher : "Joe's Comics", a new batch of Disney comics will be released! And they're quite varied! 

All these will be released starting from November.

- A Frozen "cinestory" adaptation from the film (300 pages, $19.99) :

They'll also be doing a monthly subscription to digital comics written and drawn by Amy Mebberson :

- Cinderella will also get the same treatment (also $19.99) :

- A Pixar book including many Disney/Pixar stories (also $19.99) :

- A Disney Princess book (also $19.99) :

- And last but not least, Darkwing Duck is back! Joe Books will republish the entirety of Boom! Studio's Darkwing Duck comics written by Aaron Sparrow and featuring art by James Silvani. An omnibook of 400 pages priced at only $19.99 will be released in January. ("Disney’s Darkwing Duck: Definitely Dangerous Edition") 

 

And this will lead to an all-new Darkwing Duck series in 2015! Who knows which Disney Afternoon series might be next? :)
