The voice actor of Wildcat, Pat Fraley, has sent me a voice clip of his audition for TaleSpin!
According to him, it was recorded for director Ginny McSwain, the year prior to Talespin hitting the air (which still seems strange to me, considering the content of the clip itself?) Nevertheless, this is awesome to hear "Wildcat" again :)
