New "TaleSpin mystery pin's" | Tweet |
Available since June 2012 in December 2012 is a Disney Afternoon mystery pin set, sold at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort! Among them is one really cool TaleSpin pin's! I could only find this picture :

I'm guessing that, even though it's been released recently, this is a very rare pin's!
It's really nice to see that Disney has done more for the Disney Afternoon these past 2 years, than they did for the last 15 years! Let's hope this trend continues and leads to even greater stuff !!!

I might be taking a work-related training seminar in Orlando next
March. Might go to WDW afterwards and check out if they're still
available then |

Maybe they're making the pins because of the petition. |

I would think the target audience of the pin's is the same as the
vinylmations, and the Disney Afternoon vinylmations were a huge
success... I know there are many fans that are over 30's and do pins trading so I think this will do well. And, agreed, if only Disney would be more greedy for the Disney Afternoon!!! (for once) |

If you look at the original picture, you'll see there's two Talespin
pins in that collection: The Baloo and Kit one with Seaduck (second
from right, top row) and a Baloo, Kit and Rebecca one inside the
Seaduck's cockpit (last pin on the right, second row). The question is, why would Disney start trading on a quasi obscure show of the DA franchise, considering most of their target audience isn't old enough to have seen them? Obvious answer: to increase awareness of the DA syndicated shows among this target audience with a view to increase sales of the legacy titles. I'm hoping this will lead to a revivification of these legacy shows, hopefully with new material. Because The Mouse is greedy, but for once this greed may work in our favour. |

Actually I just re-read the date, and "12/06/12" may mean it's not
available YET but will be in December 2012!! (I was reading June
because I'm used to the french style of dates, forgot american way
puts month first) Can someone confirm that so I can edit the news? |
