Whoa… What a week. I think I'll start with animation news, last week (as in, two weeks ago), Disney hosted their annual D23 event. 

D23 is a Disney program to build a fan community of Disney enthusiasts, the D23 Expo is… Exactly that. A Disney enthusiast expo (Think MacWorld for Apple fans) which Disney is using to rival the ComicCon Expo.

So… In a few brief words, during the D23 Expo, Pixar revealed two new untitled films for 2013 and 2014. On 27th November 2013, they will release a new feature directed by the co-director of Up, Bob Peterson. From what I can see, it will be about Dinosaurs.

Peter Docter (co-director of Monsters, Inc. and Up) is directing a project he describes as "an inventive new film that explores a world that everyone knows, but no one has seen: inside the human mind." It is due to be released on the 30th May 2014.

In really interesting news (kinda relating to my second news post), our friends Buzz Lightyear and Woody Pride will be returning in a Pixar Short titles Small Fry. It will proceed the film "The Muppets". This follows their cameo before Cars 2.

In other areas, they spoke about the Wizard of Oz prequel Oz: The Great and Powerful, as well as gave a presentation on The Avengers. For a comprehensive breakdown of The Avengers presentation; click here.

But, there is one more thing...

Steve Jobs' the co-founder and CEO of Apple, Inc., the founder of Pixar and the Executive Producer of Toy Story has resigned. In a letter to the Apple Board of Directors, Jobs said that "if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come." Further on in the letter, Steve asked the Board to elect himself as Chairman, and promote Tim Cook, the Chief Operating Officer, to CEO. 

We last saw Steve was at Apple's WWDC is July, where he revealed iCloud to the world. He looked very frail on stage, which is result of medical issues. 

In 2004, he revealed he had a rare form of Pancreatic Cancer, which he reportedly recovered from. Then in 2009 he took six months leave of absence to have a liver transplant. Finally, his last went on medical leave in January of this year, which he never recovered from. 

His appearance has changed has changed a lot, too. Here's a picture comparison of what Steve blamed on a "simple hormone imbalance", which most likely turned out to be a lot more complex then that.

So, I guess all we can say to the guy that worked with Steve Wozniak to invent the Personal Computer (No, IBM did NOT invent the PC): thanks Steve :)
