Talespin Virtual Season, and more comics

Written by steet :

If you visited the forums recently, you probably know that a few of us Talespin fans have started working on a "Virtual Season" project.

The aim is to create a new season of Talespin. Of course, not a "whole videos" one like the real series, but a "Virtual Season" can take many forms, the most simple being fanfics.

At the current state, we're working on the preliminaries : brainstorming in order to get some plots, drawing character sheets, etc...

We are looking for fans who would be glad to dedicate some of their time on this project. So if you can draw, if you have story ideas, or even if you're just a Talespin fan without any special ability, you can still help us!

Check this section on the forums for more info on the Talespin Virtual Season

I have also added a few more on the site, 3 from the regular "Disney comics" issues, and one that I have translated from french to english (that was only released in France) I will try to get more as there have been a few others like this released.

On another side, the site statistics show that in 4 month of existence, Talespin Source is already getting as many regular visitors as Lion King Source did in 4 years! A very promising news, as I was unsure for now if this site would ever get as popular as the others. Thanks! (and pass the word around!)

Of course, though it appears for now that Disney isn't interested. They have always neglected these series since they don't air, but I'm still unsure why because they were some of the most famous series ever made and highly profitable at the time (they are all on IGN top 100 list, and besides, who doesn't know Ducktales?) Maybe there will be a "90's" revival soon, like there has been for the "80's", and then they may reconsider their position.

And above all, Talespin should be one to revive because it was directed at an older/larger audience, and that's exactly what Disney is lacking in their current productions.

I think this series should be revived, the same way other series have done, like: he man (2002), Tom and Jerry Tales, what's new scooby doo, and soon: Looney tunes laff riot, why not?, obvioulsy it depeds if the responsibles want to do it, I wish this series could be revived someday sooner or later
