Baloo's last name

Date : August 06, 2009

Category : Default / Other

Question :
What is Baloo's last name? Because of the episode "Balooest of Blue Bloods" where Baloo is tricked by swindlers recognizing him as baron von Bruinwald, that name is used in fanfiction very often. But Baloo doesn't resemble an aristocrate with his manners. Dear Jymn, could you answer: has really Baloo last name or not?

Best answer :
Never really thought about this. My guess is, his name is "Baloo" the way that Robert B. Parker's detective is named "Spenser." Is it a first or last name? Nobody knows.

Or you could say that his name is actually Ba Loo. (Short for Babaloo?) "Oh, good evening, Mr. Loo!" (Naw, doesn't sound right.)

Yeah, I think Louie's aunt was called Lamour... like Dorothy Lamour... but of course the joke is "Louie Lamour" the famous Western writer.

Jymn's just plain wrong. Everyone knows that Baloo's last name is a derivative from his French family name: Baloo Lebear. Jeez, how quickly they forget. :P

I think he also referred to himself as Baloo Bear when he and Kit saw Shere Khan in a meeting in one of the episodes..

Louie doesn't have last name either.. but isn't Louie's Aunt's last name La mour?

I think before the Balooest of Blue Bloods episode, he was Baloo Bear, as a Fan Fiction writer, I used "Baloo von Bruinwald" because it sounds more noble then simply "Baloo Bear, "
