isn't baloo in jungle book aswell? and he's also in robin hood do the animators of the company just lke using him?

The idea of Baloo being the same character, Little John in Robin Hood is kind of a long story.

The Baloo character is similar to the Baloo from Jungle Book. They basically took the dynamic of Baloo's relationship with Mowgli [i.e. 'Can I trust you?'] and used it between Kit and Baloo's relationship.

Generally, both Baloo's are sloth bears and don't like to be told what to do, are fun-loving, etc. To sum it up, this Baloo's a reinvented character because Talespin had nothing to do w/ Jungle Book.
