Appearence: He's generally white, but has a few black patches on him. He's rather plump, and doesn't reflect the height of a wild rabbit all that much. His whiskers are also very droopy.

Personality: Cyphel is generally very stern and serious. This is often reflected by his expression, which is very pouty and somewhat snobbish. He speaks very properly and clearly so he doesn't have to repeat himself when giving orders. His loyalty to Efrafra and General Woundwart is almost blind, considering how he'll go to every extent to prove himself that Efrafra isn't all bad. 

Another thing he has a knack for is organization. If there's a riot occuring in any of the marks, and if no one else is there to do anything, he'll take complete control of the situation to make sure the rabbits all get back in line. He'll refuse to speak to any prisoners unless he is giving them an order, since he feels entitled for being in a superior position to them. He even refuses to speak to his siblings and mother since none of them have gained a position in the owsla. 

He wasn't always like that though. In fact, back when he was a prisoner he was rather friendly. He was good friends with Blackavar, who was just a bit younger than him at the time. They both shared the dream of getting position in the owsla, and when Cyphel gained a position in the owsla, his views on Blackavar changed, since he only saw him as just another prisoner. The friendship completely ended when Blackavar tried to escape. Now in his eyes Blackavar was a traitor, and he made sure he'd be the one to kill him when the time came.

History:

Cyphel's parents were both dumped in the wild after their owner couldn't take care of them any more. His father grew sick and eventually died, and while his mate was expecting. His mother was taken in by the Nutley Copse rabbits and the kits were born there. Cyphel and his siblings have no memory of the place whatsoever, considering that a few days after they were born, his mother was taken prisoner when Efrafra attacked the warren.

As a kit, Cyphel was almost completely oblivious to Efrara's mistreatment of their rabbits, and wanted to become an owsla officer one day. He was a lot more friendly and naive back then, as he saw no evil in the world. He soon met a buck by the name of Blackavar, who was just a bit younger than him, that had the same dream since his father was an Efrafran officer, and they both became friends. 

When Cyphel grew old enough, he was offered a position in the owsla. He accepted and this was the start of  his personality change. He began to become less friendly and more spiteful of others around him. He saw himself as superior to all the prisoners, and refused to talk to them unless he was giving an order, even to his siblings, mother, and Blackavar. His friendship with Blackavar wasn't completely gone though, until one certain day, Blackavar tried to escape.

His friendship with Blackavar had completely vanished by then, and he had felt some sort of sick, twisted pleasure when he saw Blackavar having his ears torn. That night, Blackavar tried to talk to him and asked him if he was even the same rabbit. Cyphel responded by saying, "I'm no friend to a prisoner, and less of one to a traitor Blackavar. When you're done setting an example to the others, I'll be the one to kill you, I'll make sure of that." By then, Cyphel had completely changed, and there was no return to who or what he once was.

When Bigwig had came to Efrafra, he was rather suspicious of the buck, and kept a close watch of him as General Woundwart had ordered him to. It was while he was watching his mark that he found out Bigwig had led a group to escape to warren, and that Blackavar was with them. He went with the owsla to chase after the escapees, and was distraught when he saw them escape on a boat.

Eventually, he and the rest of Efrafra's owsla had caught up to them at Watership Down. He dug up the burrows with the rest of the owsla, hoping to find Blackavar in there and kill him. Eventually, a dog was led up to the down, and it was at that moment, that Cyphel heard the call of The Black Rabbit of Inle.
