Greetings, gang!  And, to the American members, let me wish you a happy Independence Day (one day early)!  Today I'd like to review the last month's worth of member contributions to Zootopia Source, and encourage you to have a look-see!

Before I delve into the great fan submissions that have been uploaded, let me first correct a long-standing accidental bit of neglect, in acknowledging the work that Grey Wolf did in uploading all of the screen shots from the Zootopia movie for both the English and French mirrors of Zootopia Source, which she did very shortly after the commercial release of the DVD/Blu-Ray.  Anyone who's ever been a site builder on Animation Source knows just how time-consuming and work-intensive it CAN be--in most cases--to do that, and I would be flat-out lying if I said that Mighty, Matsu and I weren't absolutely grateful that Grey Wolf did the work for us!  XD
 

I would also like to let everyone know that I have now submitted all of the questions, for the "Ask Byron Howard" feature, to the Walt Disney Company's Publicity Department, for their analysis and approval, and then submission along to Zootopia director Byron Howard so that he may answer them for us, which he has very graciously agreed to do!  This includes questions from the members of the French side.  They've been posted on the feature, and will also be posted, in French, over on the French side, and we were very happy to give them a chance to participate in this!
 

And now to member fan creations!
 

Let's run right down the list as it runs in the "Fans" section (each image is a clickable link which opens into the full-sized image in a new window)...for submissions since at least the last couple of days of May.  I will link to each member's gallery if there is more than one recent submission...
 

FANART

Well, while we haven't had quite as much fan art as fan images and characters, we certainly have at least one very active contributor: ThankU, who is from Taiwan!  He has a whole gallery of recent submissions, and if you were to look at his profile, he tells you a little about his artistic style.  While his English may not be very good, his art is really quite bubbly and generally upbeat.  ThankU has submitted one in particular, this past month, which stands out, and it is a bit of heraldry for his favorite character, Clawhauser:

Eska only has one piece of art in her gallery thus far, but it is a very interesting and mature take on Judy Hopps:

MightyBalto1925 has a moderately-active gallery, and had one submission at the end of May which was particularly interesting, given her choice of media.  Check it out!

FAN FICTION

The most recent fan fiction was by PullTogether, who created an interesting and well-written story about Nick and Judy (it would seem stories about Nick and Judy are THE thing right now.  XD  Each, so far, skirts the very edge of a romantic relationship between them without crossing the species border.  Which is just as well.  As Byron Howard and Richard Moore pointed out already, while they consider Nick and Judy to be good friends, with a playful but platonic relationship, there is nothing truly romantic going on there, and that they'd prefer to stick with real-world science in terms of anything of that nature.  I couldn't possibly agree more!).  PullTogether's fanfic, "Never Time To Say Goodbye", can be viewed here.

Looking back a bit, since there really aren't that many fan fictions yet posted on Zootopia Source (which I hope and expect will change for the better soon!  I hear there are some members who, like me, do plan to submit material in the coming months), we come across yet another Nick and Judy-focused fan fiction by Ancient Fairy Dragon, called "Night Drive".  It covers pretty much the same theme, and is also pretty well-written, though rather shorter in length.  It can be viewed here.

FAN IMAGES

We've got plenty of fan images appearing on Zootopia Source, and several contributors, including several within the past month.  And many of them are really quite good! 

-WildWolf- has quite the active image gallery, and it's well-worth a browse!  One recent image of hers I'd particularly draw attention to is a signature design featuring Nick Wilde with those mirrored sunglasses he loves so much!  lol

Another member with a very active image gallery is MightyBalto1925, and it almost seems like she and -WildWolf- have a little friendly competition going on with regard to the character Gary.  lol  Mighty, like Wild, has many great images (signatures, avatars, etc.), but this particular one really made an impact, and I think, personally, that it's the best she's ever done!  It's a beautiful piece...really crisp too.  Dark, perhaps, but really full of emotion!

A similar image was done more recently by Troll berserker, who has started her own Zootopia Source gallery.  Similar theme, but not a copy by any stretch.  And also pretty dark and emotional.  Check it out:

Xpennydisneyloverx also is developing a nice little image gallery, and hers seems to focus more on collage-style images (with lots of pink, lol)...blending several images together into one (a really common theme, it seems, on the various Animation Source sites).  But she does pretty good with hers!  Her most recent submission features Judy Hopps.

ThankU may have a very active art gallery, but he is just getting started with images.  And, of course, his first features his favorite character, Clawhauser.  It's not a bad start!

FAN VIDEOS

So far, we only have one brave video author, MokiHunter, who had earlier submitted a great video centered around Nick Wilde, entitled "Monster".  The music and video work great together, even though Moki was very critical of how it turned out.  But it works! 

Still, more recently, Moki released an HD version of the video which is a bit longer and cleaned up, and it still looks and sounds great!  Check it out!

FAN CHARACTERS

We've got LOTS of original characters already submitted to Zootopia Source, and many of them are really very good!  And some of the fan art for them is stunning!  However, let's look at some of the more recent submissions:

Jake Razor submitted a great fox character named Taelia Stones, who is a sound technician for the music group "Vixen".  However, she's also managed to keep finding freelance work in her field!  She has a touchy issue with Nick Wilde.  XD

Happystool has two good characters on Zootopia Source, with good bios and backgrounds...the most recent is a mouse lawyer who also moonlights as a cafe barista at Snarlbucks!  XD

Eska has created her first Zootopia character in a red panda named Jetta Shootz, who is a helicopter pilot for the Zootopia Police Department, and now their air fleet commander.

Blazetail has several fan characters on Zootopia Source, but her most recent is a "Patagonian Mara" named Clover Twinleg, a farm girl with a very sad personal history.
