Personality: She is a very intelligent and charming dog. Her silly mannerisms and coquettishness are enough to soften the toughest of guys. She has an astounding zest for life combined with a great sense of humor. She loves to laugh. She is also mischievous. Sometimes she can be a bit bossy. She is social, and can be pretty talkative at times.

History: She was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. Her owner was a struggling business owner trying to make ends meet. Though the owner only wanted one, she got Betriz and her brother because they were the last two in the adoption box and couldn't bear to separate them. The owner soon had to shut down her business and look for another job. After some searching, she was hired by a local company, but it went bankrupt after a year (through no fault of her own), and she was again looking for a job. After some more searching, she got a job offer from San Francisco, so she moved there, taking Betriz and her brother with her.

Betriz was nervous of her new surroundings at first, but she quickly grew used to them. She tried to make some friends but was unsuccessful because she didn't know or speak English. But that didn't stop her from flirting with some of the guys, who, except for one, were uninterested. The one that was interested was a mixed-breed named Vesuvius, who later fell in love with Betriz though they didn't understand each other language-wise, for the most part.; he spoke Italian (she understood very few words of this) and English (didn't understand at all), and Betriz spoke Portuguese.
