I notice something about Kodi's fur pattern on his legs as a puppy and as a adult

As a adult the fur pattern is more of Jenna's

 The fur pattern on their legs are the same, but

If you look closely at the fur on Kodi as a puppy it is different

Kodi's puppy fur pattern is really more like Balto's fur pattern

Here is a closer look

It may seen strange that Kodi's patterns change from a pup to an adult, but the animators might have done this on purpose because of the way the pups looked in Balto 2.  It Balto most of the pups didn't have Jenna's leg fur patterns.  Kodi's puppy pattern may have been done like this so it would look like the red pups in movie 2 because Kodi was there, but wasn't a character yet.
